South Korean conglomerate Hwaseung is entering the Indian market with a USD 150 million investment in non-leather sports shoe manufacturing in Andhra Pradesh. Previously, Hwaseung had signed an MoU with the Tamil Nadu government in August for a plant, but the company has now chosen Kuppam, the constituency of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, as its new base.
