Gold prices continued to rise last week, driven by increasing expectations of a US Federal Reserve rate cut. Strong demand in India and global markets helped the metal maintain its upward trend on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) for the fourth consecutive month. On Friday, MCX February 2026 gold futures closed Rs 1,932 (1.51%) higher at Rs 1,29,599 per 10 grams just about Rs 2,700 short of the
