Two IIT Kharagpur students, Varun Vummadi and Esha Manideep, made headlines in Silicon Valley as their voice-based AI startup, Giga, secured USD 61 million in Series A funding. Their success, however, was marred by racist and appearance-based trolling that followed the online announcement.
