Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei shocked the World Economic Forum audience in Davos by predicting that AI models may perform most or all software engineering tasks end-to-end within the next 6 to 12 months. He shared that engineers at Anthropic already let AI write code while they only edit and manage surrounding tasks.
